HELLO I'M COLBY

Creativity has shaped my journey, from dance to production and experiential marketing. This page highlights moments of growth, discovery, and collaboration that define who I am.

Born and raised in Grande Prairie, Alberta, I’ve followed a dynamic journey through the arts, storytelling, and creative collaboration. My path began with a foundation in dance, leading me to graduate from The Royal Winnipeg Ballet School in 2011. From there, I honed my skills at The School of Toronto Dance Theatre, where I was honoured to receive The Hnatyshyn Foundation’s 2012 Developing Artist Grant in Contemporary Dance. My training opened doors to unforgettable opportunities, including dance programs in the Netherlands, Israel, and New York City.

After an enriching period of travel and exploration, I transitioned my creative focus to acting for film and stage. In 2018, I graduated from The Toronto Film School, bringing the same dedication and passion to acting as I did to dance. During this time, I also ventured into stage management, proudly working on productions like Our Town.

Today, my career centres on independent contract work that includes roles in production, brand representation, and project coordination. As a Production Assistant at Makers, I contribute to high-impact experiential marketing events for clients such as Amazon and CBC. My previous roles as a Staffing and Account Coordinator at Simon Pure Marketing and Brand Ambassador with numerous marketing agencies further shaped my ability to connect with audiences and deliver excellence.

While my professional journey has evolved, my roots in dance and acting continue to inspire my approach to storytelling, collaboration, and creativity. Whether I’m leading a project, supporting a team, or stepping into a creative role, I strive to create meaningful and memorable experiences that resonate.
